
LEARN TO SKATE
PROGRAMS
Our Learn to Skate Classes start at age 3 and continue through adult levels. Classes are set up to be a progressive program, with skills that build on themselves from one level to the next. Skaters start in a Beginner Class
(Snowplow Sam 1 for ages 3-5, Basic 1 for ages 6-14, Hockey 1 for ages 4 & Up, Adult 1 for ages 15 & Up).

Classes are 30 minutes with 15 minutes of practice time for all levels between classes

Skate rental is included

Skaters will receive a badge with additional open skate passes

Participants must be at least 3 years old at the start of the session

Pro-rated late starts welcome

Make up classes are allowed with the currently enrolled session

The Snowplow classes are designed for beginner-level skaters ages 3-5. Both Snowplow Sam 1 and 2 classes are taught as one group, incorporating skills from both levels. Skaters in these classes will practice forward and backward skating as well as playing some fun and interactive games to apply the skating skills they have learned.

The Basic level classes are designed for beginner through intermediate level skaters ages 6-14. These classes build on themselves, beginning with Basic 1. Skaters first learn the introductive skills that will prepare them for the following levels. As they progress through the higher Basic skills they will learn more of the figure skating elements such as turns, edges, and spins.
ADULT 1-6

The Adult level classes are designed for beginner through intermediate level skaters ages 15 and up. These classes build on themselves, beginning with Adult 1. Skaters first learn the introductive skills that will prepare them for the following levels. As they progress through the higher Adult skills they will learn more of the figure skating elements such as turns, edges, and spins.
ADULT SYNCHRO
No Session at this time

The Adult Synchro class is designed for Adult skaters (age 15 and up) that have passed through the Adult 3 level. This class is an introduction to synchronized skating for beginner/intermediate level skaters and includes skills such as block stroking, synchronized crossovers, spirals, and more.
FREESYLE 1-6
September 6 - October 18
Sundays 12:15-12:45pm

The Free Skate level classes are designed for intermediate through advanced level skaters for youth and adult ages. These classes focus more on all aspects of figure skating, including more challenging turns, edge control, footwork, jumps, spins, and more. These classes are for any skater looking for a challenge after finishing the Basic 1-6 or Adult 1-6 skills and want to pursue figure skating as a sport.
LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY
September 3 - October 15
Thursdays 6:00-6:45pm

Learn to Play Hockey is a beginner-level hockey class for all ages. The class is comprised of multiple hockey skills: Skating, Puck handling, Passing, Shooting, and small-scale scrimmage games. Learn to Play Hockey students are required to pass Basic 1 and Basic 2 or Adult 1 and Adult 2 in the Learn to Skate levels before participating in this class.
